Online store of school uniforms: turnkey apps for iOS and Android
About this project
SkyLake is a Russian manufacturer of school uniforms and accessories, 20 years on the market and more than 60 retail stores across Russia. The company produces school suits of different styles and colors for boys and girls from first to eleventh grade.

We had to integrate applications into the customer's information system based on 1C. And to make sure that the current stock of goods was displayed correctly. Taking into account about 3,000 items of different sizes in the catalog and 64 offline stores, timely synchronization of almost a million records is not an easy task.

Task
The client decided to go mobile to attract as many buyers as possible from all over Russia.
It was necessary to make apps for iOS and Android, in which it is possible to choose school uniforms depending on school and class, see the full product catalog, find out the availability of the necessary set of uniforms in stores nearby and use the electronic loyalty card.
Solution
We have provided a high-performance REST service for application integration into 1C. It accepts data on residues, changes in the catalog and user data, and also allows uploading data on new users.

For authorization by phone number, mailing notifications and remote configuration we used Firebase services.

The most difficult part was to implement the selection of individual form offers depending on the age of the child, region, school, and even the letter of the class. To select the ideal combination, we wrote an algorithm that takes into account many parameters. This task took the most time.

Everything was designed in close cooperation with the customer. Since the school uniform market is a new sphere for us, we listened carefully to the recommendations of our colleagues and tried to be as balanced as possible in implementing business scenarios.

Upon entering the app, the user sees a complete catalog of uniforms and accessories. A large banner with personalized content shows exactly what uniforms are in effect in the user's classroom and school

If a customer in an offline store has selected an item that doesn't have a price on it, he can scan it with the scanner in the app - and instantly know the price.

The barcode icon is in the main menu at the bottom of the screen and in the search bar. It's up to the user to choose how he wants to use the function.

Loyal card
The customer no longer needs to carry a plastic card to receive discounts. The virtual card is always available in the app - just show the unique barcode at the checkout.

When registering, the user is assigned a personal discount - it is tied to the school he or she has specified. If the school is not specified, the buyer will still receive a discount when ordering through the app. The loyalty system is transparent - the current discount is visible in the app.

The app shows you the nearest store, shows you the route, and displays information on stock levels. To make it easier to select stores, we have indicated on the map the area where the user is located.

In the personal office you can specify the school for which you need a form, set up notifications and mailing lists, as well as see the hotline - you can quickly get an answer to any questions about products from the catalog.

We didn't hide the newsletter subscription box so that a person could easily unsubscribe at any time. Persistent marketing is annoying marketing.

The slider shows that there are other product photos on the right and left. Thanks to this visual cue, the user intuitively understands that it is possible to swipe and look at the images.

The result is an app that allows you to view the school's recommended uniforms in a few clicks and choose the most attractive option based on cost, appearance, and material.

Thanks to the powerful filter system, you can search for options for the future and for cases when the school does not have strict recommendations for uniforms.

When developing the online store we relied on the best practices of online retail leaders, our experience in implementing similar complex projects, as well as experience in integrating applications into CRM and 1C. Thanks to this we were able to make a convenient and functional application, familiar to the user and bringing income to the customer.
